Inspire Defence and Security was established in January
2014 as a small consulting company with a focus in the
defence and security sector. Operating under the brand
names IZ Consulting’ and IZC for consultancy and short
courses respectively, the company offered services in over
30 countries around the globe.

Having gone through significant growth, expansion in
scope and restructuring between 2019 and 2024, the
company rebranded as Inspire Defence and Security in
January 2025 offering accredited courses and supporting
training and education institutions in co-delivery of
products.

We offer over 150 different courses across a wide range of
organisational requirements and disciplines. Some of these
courses are focussed on defence while others appeal to all
sectors. As part of our growth strategy, we retain our
defence and security focus, and now offer a wider portfolio
of courses and consultations to support the corporate,
public and the third sectors. Our unique insight in defence
and security provides a fresh outlook to organisational
challenges across other sectors in today’s complex and
volatile landscape as organisations navigate hyper change
and assimilate disruptive technologies.

The company extends it support to business with strategy and organizational development consultancy adopts IZ Consulting as a trading name. Consulting work extends private sector organisations,

Adopts a collaborative business model working with partner organisations and associates, allowing Iftikhar Zaidi Provide Limited to broader its activities to include, education and organizational development.

Blended Model, 2020-2021

With the COVID pandemic causing disruptions to face to face activity, IZ Consulting developed fully online and blended models for continued delivery of products and services

Inspire Defense & Security, 2024

IZPL rebrands to represent its growing reach, vision and purpose. Adopts the name Inspire Defence and Security, with expanded areas of expertise: Leadership & Organisation, Engineering & Technology, Capability & Capacity Building and Law, Security & Governance .

Formation , 2014

Iftikhar Zaidi Private Limited (IZPL) established with the vision to support military training institutions and the public sector in leadership, strategy training and education.

Global Reach, 2016-2017

Under the trading brand, IZ Consulting, operates, IZPL extends its operations to 12 courtiers in three continents and diversifies teaching and consulting activities.

The Company, building on the success of its collaborative model, provides a one-window service to meet diverse training, development and consultation needs of our clients.

Accredited Courses, 2022

Company began offering accredited educational and professional courses supported by Institute of Leadership and Management and Cranfield University.
